Today my self confidence was put to the test.
My dad and I were at the pool with my niece, who had spent the night at Nonni & Papa’s house. She has boundless energy, so we figured the pool was the perfect place for her to release some of it and have fun, all at the [...]

Today at the gym for my personal training session I saw Jimmy, my trainer, and let him know about my knee “injury.” The first thing he said to me was, “did you ice it after our last session, like I told you to?” I told him I didn’t, and he said I got a time [...]

Today I did my weigh-in at home because I woke up at 9am, which is the same time the WW meeting starts. I NEVER sleep in that late, but I guess I really needed the rest. I did weigh myself and I’m up 0.3 again. Sigh. This weight gain has to end sometime, right?
Factors contributing [...]

Sometimes it really is the simple things in life that make it worth living.
This morning there’s quite a bit of fog/cloud cover, making it feel a bit like autumn or winter. I know it will burn off soon, bringing with it a glorious, sunny day, but for a little while this morning, it was fun [...]

This past week has been a really good one. I found out about an exciting job opportunity that I’ll tell more about if I end up getting the job. I continued to workout with my trainer and exercise (lots of swimming).
The title refers to the fact that right after my training session on Thursday, my [...]

This week’s weigh-in showed another gain; this time I’m up 0.2 lbs. I’m not going to let this get to me, though, because I know I’ve been working out as much as I possibly can and I’ve been eating well, tracking everything, etc. I know that it’s going to take a few weeks for [...]

I’ve been wanting to write this post since Sunday, when I completed the 5K, but I wanted to wait for the photos that Ish snapped that day, because I knew she was going to have some amazing ones.
We started early in the morning, because the race started at 8am in San Francisco, but at all [...]

Yesterday I spent a good portion of the day around the house doing laundry, cleaning up a bit, and fooling around on the computer. It was 4pm before I knew it, and I hadn’t done any exercise.
So, I decided it was time to get some swimming in. While I was getting changed, I figured [...]

This past week has been filled with high highs and low lows, but overall, I’ve been doing well and am proud of myself.
As I wrote about on Thursday, I gained 1.4 pounds, but later discovered that the medication I was taking was the cause of the weight gain. I was so frustrated about the [...]

I was at the grocery store the other day and decided to go in search of two new items that I’d heard about. Thankfully, my local Safeway stocked both of them.
The first one is Chaka’s MMM Sauce. I had heard about this sauce at my WW meeting; people were raving about it, and I thought [...]
