If only!!!!!
Since my weigh-in day is Thursday, I figure that Sunday is mid-way through my week, and I wanted to do a quick post about the activity I’ve done so far.
I’ve earned 12 APs this week so far, which is behind last week’s numbers, but I feel like I’ve been doing more, somehow. Maybe because I’ve only taken one rest day. (Keep in mind that APs are determined by weight, so I can do a certain activity and earn more points for it than someone who weighs less than I do).
Thursday: Wii Fit for 30 minutes = 3 APs. Since it was my birthday, I didn’t get much other activity in, unless you count mall walking.
Friday: Wii Fit for 20 minutes = 1 AP. Huh, I thought I did more, but then I remembered I spent a lot of time buying a new stereo and a new BBQ.
Saturday: Wii Fit for 15 minutes, 30 minute walk, Wii Sports for 20 minutes = 5 APs. Since I had a lot of time on my hands, I got in plenty of APs. I also racked up 6749 steps.
Sunday: Wii Fit for 20 minutes, EA Sports Active for 24 minutes = 3 APs. I feel like I did more than this, but that may be because I’m sore from the Wii Tennis I played yesterday. LOL. Today I’ve logged 6982 steps. I think I may need to re-evaluate the number of steps I have made for my goal. I’m being fairly active and not even getting 7000 in. I’ll see what happens on Monday and then take a daily average.
All in all, I’ve been fairly active each day since weigh-in, although because I haven’t gone swimming or biking, I haven’t racked up any huge APs. The plan for the rest of the week:
Monday: Wii Fit for 15 minutes, treadmill for 30 minutes, Aqua Class = 9 APs
Tuesday: Wii Fit for 15, swimming for an hour, EA Sports Active for 20ish minutes = 7 APs
Wednesday: Wii Fit for 15 minutes, biking for an hour, Aqua Class = 11 APs
This would equal 39 APs for the week, which is great. It’s the same as last week. We’ll see if I make good on this plan, but I have a strong feeling I will. I’m determined to get in as much activity as I can while I’m on summer vacation. There’s really no excuse not to, when I have the luxury of time.
Quick Question – For those of you on WW and using a pedometer: do you count the steps you’re getting on the pedometer into eTools? I log in each activity I do: 30 min. walk, biking, swimming, Wii Fit, etc. Should I also log in the number of daily steps? It seems sort of like “double dipping,” because most of those steps were earned doing the activities I’ve already logged into eTools. I haven’t been logging the steps, because it seems redundant, but I would love to hear any opinions on this.

What I like (as if it’s any of my business) is the overall pattern of it. It’s so easy to get into the pattern of NOT doing. I much prefer doing *something*, even if it’s not all that I want. And you can always count Friday as a rest day.
I occasionally wear a pedometre, but if you are already counting your AP’s.. then yes, I would consider this as double dipping.
for AP’s… I count anything that is either A) intentional, B) not my normal activity in a given day.
ie. if I spend half hour cleaning the house everyday… then I don’t count that, whereas if I do a cleaning blitz because I have company coming, and/or I’m spring cleaning for 3 hours straight, and I’m breaking a sweat…. then yes, I do count that.
39 AP’s.. you are doing FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!! what an inspiration!
you are doing great!! i don’t have a pedometer, and have a hard time figuring out my AP’s..so i can’t help you there:)
but i think your midweek check in is abfab:)
xo
Lisa, do you guys have eTools on the Canadian WW site? With that one, all you do is either search for the activity and put how long you’ve done it, or you enter in the name of activity, duration, and intensity (for ones like Wii Fit that they don’t already have). It’s all automated, based on your weight.
Lisa doesn’t use e-tools (i’m speaking for her in case she doesn’t chk back) I do. We have to pay for e-tools here in Canada. We both go to meetings, but I also pay for the e-tools on top of that, cause I like tracking on line.
Ya, here it’s the same way, sort of. We have the Monthly Pass, which is $39.95 each month and includes the weekly meetings and eTools. It’s a great deal. I used to pay $13.95/month for eTools alone, plus meetings. This is much more economical. And so worth it! I love logging my food & activity in online.
