I’m really happy with my decision to begin WW Online and do my at home weigh-ins on Wednesday. It’s the PERFECT day – middle of the week, day after a rest day from personal training, etc.
I wish I had better news for this first Weigh-In Wednesday, but unfortunately, I’m up a little bit – 0.9 lbs to be exact. The reason for this? Well, TOM is one (hate the water retention!), but the main cause is really that I haven’t been quite as strick as I should have been about my portion sizes lately. I’ve been eyeballing meals and snacks in the evenings (dinner and evening snack), and that is probably the true cause of the slight gain/maintain.
But I am not discouraged. Actually, I feel quite motivated to get myself back on track. Not that I’m really off track, mind you. I’ve been following WW, logging points, planning well balanced meals, etc - I’ve just been eating more than I should at night. A minor adjustment is all that I need to really start seeing more from the scale.
I’m also planning on trying some of the food plan ideas in Jillian’s Master Your Metabolism. As I said yesterday, I’ll post more about the book later, as well as a sample food plan, but her main thing seems to be about eating whole, natural, and organic foods as much as possible. I’m not sure I’m going to be that drastic about it, but I do want to try it for a couple of weeks and see what happens. An experiment of sorts. And if it works, well, she may just make a convert out of me.
