I follow quite a few weight loss vloggers on Youtube, and many of them are participating in a challenge that they’re calling Sexy for Santa. I thought it sounded interesting, and although I’m not sure exactly how it’s working on there, I wanted to start my own little Countdown to Christmas Challenge.
There are 67 days until December 25th – more than enough time to set a goal and give myself a great gift, just in time for Christmas.
The Rules:
- Choose a specific, realistic goal that you can achieve by December 25th.
- Post weekly updates (you choose the day) about your progress.
- Decide on a gift (reward) that you’ll give yourself when you meet your goal.
- My goal for the Countdown to Christmas Challenge is to lose 15 pounds.
- I’m going to start posting on Fridays, 2 days after my weekly weigh-in.
- My gift is going to be a getting my nails done again. I’ve gone months with my gel nails off, but I can’t take it anymore. My own nails just don’t grow, and my hands look so much better when my nails are done. So, this is going to be a reward I’m really going to look forward to getting.
That’s 10 weeks, 10 weigh-ins and at least 20 personal training sessions. I can do it! I was going to say 20 pounds, but given my track record, that wouldn’t be very realistic. 15 seems more reasonable. Plus, I can always exceed my goal, but I just want to make sure to choose one that I can reach.

Last night I spent a couple of hours fiddling around with my computer to try to make a badge. Unfortunately, I’m not very good with Photoshop (actually, I don’t really know how to use it at all), and the result of my labors was a badge that wouldn’t display. If it’s not too late to join, I’d like to play?! I would like to set a different kind of goal, if that is okay…
1. My goal for the Countdown to Christmas Challenge is to exercise, without fail, 5 days per week. (I was injured, then got inconsistent…so this will be a big deal for me!)
2. I will post my progress on Mondays.
3. For my reward gift I will buy myself a Natural Salt Crystal, the kind that I can put a different colored light inside, according to whatever mood I’m in.
I found out about your challenge thru Dawne…this will be fun. Thanks for starting this.

Hey, It’s Thursday–my check in day on the challenge. I’m not sure if this is where we’re supposed to check in or not, but it’s the only spot I found.
My goal is to be under 200 pounds by Christmas. I weighed in yesterday and lost 2.6 pounds–which puts me to 204.2 w/ clothes on the weight watchers scale.
(Some how I’ve managed to gain a pound overnight. Like what’s up with that?! But the rules are to post my weigh-ins from Thursday, so there it is.

OMG….you sound JUST like me with the nails. lmao My husband flipped when he saw me removing them (which was wicked painful, btw). Mine don’t grow either & it sucks.
