I was so revved up to have a great, action-filled weekend, and then life decided that I needed a bit of a rest. It started on Friday night. I was getting a heavenly pedicure yet I felt so drained and low energy. Rather than relaxed, I felt my irritated throat and the nagging cough. I woke up Saturday morning with a full-blown bad cold and had to cancel some fun plans. Same thing today. I just can’t go out and be social when I feel this way. Nor do I want to get anyone else sick. Ugh.
This also means that I’m not working out, because I really don’t have the energy. My RLR training is thrown off, but I’m going to try to get back to it as soon as I can. I have a training session scheduled with Jimmy for Monday night, and I’m going to try my best to make it to that. I think I should be ok, especially because I’m taking Monday off so that I can rest and catch up on all the household things I was supposed to do on Saturday.
Eating has been sporadic. I didn’t track anything on Saturday, but I didn’t really eat a lot either. I was resting most of the day, and since my throat is scratchy and raw, I just didn’t feel like eating. I had some OJ (not a good idea when you have a sore throat), soup, cereal…and that’s about it. Today I want to get out to the grocery store because I’m out of fresh fruit and veggies and it’s time for my weekly trip. I always feel better once the house is stocked with healthy, nutritious food. I’m definitely going to track everything today, even if I don’t eat much, because I don’t want to get out of that habit.
So that’s about it. I just wanted to let you guys know what was going on in case my posting for the coming week is less than normal.

Must be going around, went to bed last night and then this morning- BANG. Full blown cold/flu. Ugh!! Getting sick so does not work in with plans!!
Get well soon Bella! Lots of fluid, anti-pyretics and rest is the order of the day.
BR.
So sorry to hear you’re sick! I hope you’re on the mend soon. Good on you for taking good care of yourself instead of wearing yourself out!
Time for a quickie comfort soup of low-sodium chicken broth, frozen tortellini and fistfuls of baby spinach. Takes minutes to make but will soothe that sore through. The nutritional info isn’t bad either!
Hope you’re feeling better soon!
I hope you feel better soon!
I hope you feel better soon too!
I hope youre feeling better today!!!
OH NO! Must be going around. I felt better after a couple of days so I hope you do too. It sucks, I know.
Thanks, guys. I had a terrible, vomit-inducing headache for a couple of days, but I think the congestion/pressure in my head finally “broke,” because today I don’t have a headache.
Just normal stuffy, runny nose which I’ll take any day over nausea.
