Goal Style. Each week I use Polyvore to put together looks that I hope to wear when I get to goal. They serve as inspiration and motivation, and they help me develop my own sense of style along the way. I enjoying working with thematic groupings, so if you have ideas of style themes for future fashion Friday posts, please put them in the comments.
If you look on my Stats page, you’ll notice that my ultimate reward for myself once I get to goal weight is an entire outfit from Anthrologogie. So of course I’ve been spending more and more time on their website to see the types of outfits I’d put together if I were able to shop there now. The perfect setting for this week’s Goal Style.
The outfit itself is something that I could see myself wearing to work or on the weekends. It seems cute and casual, yet put together. I love the retro feel of the skirt and the unexpected pairing of turquoise and brown (although I love those two colors together). And I love a wedge, especially because I’m a shorty and can use all the height I can get. Wedges let me appear taller, yet remain comfortable.

That is a great outfit! I recently purchased a boatload of costume jewelry that was on clearance at Sears (I know not very hip – but neither am I) and I put it in a drawer in my house. My idea is to let myself pick out something for every 5 pds I lose……I need little goals
I love that store! Great goal!
I like it! The shirt might be a little too long to go with the skirt, but the style and colors are great together!
I think it would be great tucked in; that’s why I showed the other photo with it tucked into the pants.
LOVE it! I think you need to create an avatar of yourself in this outfit (or another goal style selection) and keep it saved in an iPhone album called “The Future Me” as inspiration, direction/redirection and a reminder for the next time the Fat Girl tries to visit. (Notice I said “tries”? It’s because I have no doubt that you can develop strategies to keep this uninvited house guest FAR away–or at least leave her stuck on the doorstep, wondering why despite all the knocking, you’re not letting her in.)
Besides, you DESERVE to wear outfits like this.
Tina!!! This is a fabulous idea! I’ll have to get in touch with the graphic designer who made “Bellina” for me and see what she can do. You always have such amazing suggestions and support – thank you!
