Yesterday was Day 2 (the final day) of the Fage Fast, and it went about as well as Day 1, although I was pretty sick of eating Greek yogurt by the time “dinner” rolled around.
So what were the results?
- Day 1: 3.8 lbs lost!
- Day 2: 0.4 lbs lost (meh)
Total lost in 2 days: 4.2 lbs. Not bad at all. I mean losing 4 lbs in one week would be great, so losing over 4 lbs in 2 days is great. It’s just not the 7 lbs I was hoping for. But I guess each person’s body reacts differently to this kind of a fast.
So, am I glad I did it? Yes. The protein in the Greek yogurt kept me going all day long, through 100 minutes of exercise each of the days. The fruit kept things interesting, and let me retain the “chewing” aspect that I really needed to stick with it. Plus, it was a great way to put the weekend behind me and to move forward. I’d recommend it, but I would say that the average you can lose is between 4-7 lbs, just so that you have more realistic expectations going into it than I did.
For today, I’m looking forward to eating food other than Greek yogurt.
