I remember when I subscribed to Glamour Magazine, I used to love their last page spread about fashion Do’s & Don’ts with clothes worn by regular people. The only thing keeping their anonymity were those little black bars over their eyes. Got me?
Well tonight I bring you an outfit I wore throughout the day that was über comfy and quite fitting with the summer season. I’m just not sure if it was a bit too much if a good thing. So I need your help to tell me if I was a fashion victim or a fashionista.
I normally stick to darker color combos, so this outfit was a bold move for me. Was it one worth repeating?
I love the pink! Stick with pink! But I am not one for all the flowers in the front and the strips. But that’s just me! The short sleeve, pants and sandals idea works but I think a different shirt would be nice.
Have you seen the show What Not To Wear with Stacy and Clinton? I LOVE that show! I get so many great ideas from them!

I usually go for dark colors (half of my clothes are black I think), and I virtually never wear shorts, however, I say you pulled it off, and with it being super comfy, even better!

Love the bright colours with your colouring, and the black gives it a modern edge (ie not too 80s dayglo). Not such a fan of the flower / stripe combo – I might be a bit boring and wear a plain black vest top on top. But maybe that’s just me playing it safe

I like it. I just couldn’t tell if the tank underneath and the bottom half matched, or if they were seprate colors. I think I need a new computer monitor! But I like the striped/flower combo, and love the bright bottom.
They’re different colors. The tank is hot pink, the pants are a bright melon/peach.

I actually really like the long top with the bold flowers and black & white stripes. I usually pair it with a black tank and either black pants or jeans, but yesterday I just felt like going a bit brighter. I do think my tan (thanks to swimming) helps pull it all off. I paired it with a black cardigan last night when I went to an outdoor music event, and it really helped to tone things down a bit.
I’d say that overall, it was a hit. I’m glad I found another outfit to wear those melon pants with – those are a bit harder to wear than I’d anticipated.
