Goal #10 for my 13 in 13 is to go to bed by 10pm. This doesn’t mean that my light will be off by then, but that I’ll get into bed, read, and hopefully fall asleep at some point thereafter. Which is a huge improvement over what I’ve been doing: staying up until after midnight watching t.v. or YouTube videos and then heading to bed.
As I was going through my Google Reader yesterday (Goal #8), I came across this “40 Minutes to Snooze” playlist from FitSugar. I’ve never been one to listen to music while I try to sleep, but 2013 is about trying new things, and since I love music, I figured why not incorporate this into my nightly routine. Or at least give it a try for a week and see what happens.
Since I know a lot of you also need to be better about getting more sleep, I figured I’d share. Sweet Dreamzzzzzzzzzz.

There is a radio show that my husband loves (it’s called Coast To Coast AM, on live from about midnight to 4 a.m.), so we get the podcast of that every day and listen when we go to bed. It’s always funny to me to listen to it the next day and try to figure out how long it took me to fall asleep — it’s usually less than 4 minutes! But if it were up to me, I’d probably do something like your idea with music.
Thank you for this. I’m excited to check these songs out. I hope they end up working for you; Lord knows we could all use some good sleep!
I used to listen to music to help me fall asleep. I’m curious to hear how this works for you.
