I’m usually really good about resisting temptations, especially when those tempations come in the form of sweets. I’m not a huge sweets eater, preferring salty/crunchy to sweet any day.
Today however, one of my students baked Valentine’s Day cupcakes for the class. As soon as I saw the cute cupcakes decorated with pink frosting and red & white sprinkles, I knew I was a goner!
What is it about cupcakes that make them so appealing? I don’t really like cake at all, but if you put it into cupcake form, I can’t resist it. I think it has more to do with the “cuteness” factor. Plus, a dash of sweetness never hurts.
I just looked it up on WW eTools, and it looks like my cupcake was only about 3 or 4 points because it wasn’t large. How cool is that? I may have to indulge in these sweet treats more often, if I have the points available.
A Sprinkles just opened up about 30 minutes away. I may have to investigate. I’ll make sure to report back, if I do.
I love cupcakes, too! I never thought about the cuteness factor. I’m impressed you stopped at one. 🙂
I’m pretty much the same way: nearly always preferring salty/crunchy to sweet stuff, but yes, every once in a while a certain cupcake, cookie, or industrial sized tub of frosting just really looks like it’ll hit the spot.
ahhh, cup cakes.
