Summer is almost over, but there are still a few things that I want to accomplish before it’s back to the daily grind of working full time. I think that writing things down gives them more weight, so I wanted to make a little list of the things I’m going to do before summer ends:
- Take Sofi to the beach to see how she likes the ocean/sand/water. We’re going to Carmel for a Doggie Beach Day on Saturday.
- Try a spin class. My new padded spinning skort is supposed to arrive by 7pm tonight, so this will happen early next week.
- Swim as often as I can. I’ll still be able to do this when school starts for at least a month, but I really love swimming now, and I’m getting good at it, so I want to get as much pool time in as I can. I’m heading the pool as soon as I type this.
- See as many friends as possible. When school starts up and schedules get tighter, it gets harder to fit it all in, so I want to see a few more friends before the summer ends. I have plans with one of my besties this Sunday.
- Go to the movies in the middle of the day on a weekday, by myself. So far I’ve only gone on the weekends with other people, so this will be fun if for no other reason than I can’t ever go to an 11am movie M-F when school’s in. Plus, I want to see Crazy Stupid Love and I don’t know if any of my other friends/family want to.
- Have a day where I don’t do much other than read, read, read. I love to read, but it seems like even when I’m by myself I find tons of other things to distract me from reading. I want at least the better part of one day to devote to reading.
That’s all I can think of off the top of my head. I don’t have many days left – the first day of school is the 22nd, but I have to be at school for several hours on Tuesday and Wednesday and then all day on Friday (next week). So it’s time to take the bull by the horns and live it up while I still can.
