bilbl_superIt’s been a few weeks since I’ve had a chance to post my weekly workout schedule.  I did really well my first week of working at the new job, but last week wasn’t as great.  I got a few workouts in, but I took a couple of weekday rest days, too.  This week I’m determined to get in 5 solid weekday workouts, plus active rest days on the weekend. Here’s this week’s plan:

~
Monday: Cleaned the entire house (hey, it counts as a calorie burn!) + bike ride + TIU: Stars & Stripes routine (x2)(minus the jog & jumping rope, since I already got my cardio in)
Tuesday: AM: elliptical + TIU: Bikini Series Yoga
Wednesday: PM: recumbent bike + TIU: Bikini Arms + Tight & Toned Arms (Beach Babe 2 DVD)
Thursday: PM: elliptical  + TIU: Sleek & Slender Abs (x3) + Spanking Booty (x3)
Friday: PM: TIU: Frisky Fall Full Body Routine (x4)
Saturday & Sunday: bike ride, swim, walk Sofi

+ walk with Sofi every day

AM = early morning workout before work
PM = afternoon/evening workout after work

The PM workouts are the hardest for me to get to, because I’m usually so tired/thinking of all the other things I have to do.  This week, I’m not letting any excuses slip in, no matter what time it is when I go and workout.

bilbl_superSince I don’t have many more days of summer vacation left (less than 2 weeks before I begin my teacher meetings), I was reflecting on how I’ve spent this summer.  I’ve had the best time working out and moving my body.  I have completely loved the routine of getting my workouts in first thing in the morning (most of the time) and working out with Tinkerbell several mornings a week.  Not only that, but I’ve made fitness a way for me to connect with other friends, as well.  Fun and fitness just go together for me.  The Tone It Up girls said to make this week count, and I definitely plan to with my workouts and the way I spend the rest of my days, as well. Here’s this week’s plan:

~
Monday: Excited for Spring cardio (home elliptical) + TIU: Bikini Body Routine
Tuesday: kickboxing & afternoon bike ride + TIU : Best Ab Routine (x2)
Wednesday: spinning + TIU: Thailand Tush & Daisy Duke workout
Thursday: run/walk intervals or elliptical  + TIU: Sunset Stretch (Beach Babe 2 DVD)
Friday: Stairs at Communications Hill & swimming + TIU: Beach Ball Workout
Saturday: run/walk intervals or elliptical

And don’t forget that I’ve started a little challenge of my own – getting in 150 miles by the time I have to go back to school for my first teacher workday on August 15. I’d love for you to join me.

bilbl_superSo far this summer, I’ve been doing great with my cardio workouts.  Even last week while traveling for a teaching conference, I got up at 5:25am to make sure I got in at least 30 minutes.  The thing I’ve been lagging on is my toning workouts.  Even though my TIU workouts have been in my plan each week, I haven’t been doing them for the past two weeks.  So, that’s what I’m going to focus on this week.  Here’s this week’s plan:

~
MondayMaking Waves Cardio (home elliptical) + TIU: Summer Abs Playlist
Tuesday: swimming + TIU:Spankin’ Booty Routine (3x)
Wednesday: Biker Babes routine + TIU: Bikini Yoga
Thursday: Insanity class at 24 Hour Fitness + TIU: Bikini Arms + Sunkissed Abs (Beach Babe 2 DVD)
Friday: TIU/Fitness RX Summer Meltdown Bikini Body Routine + swimming/elliptical
Saturday: BodyCombat at 24 Hour Fitness + TIU: Bikini Abs + Bikini Arms (Beach Babe 2 DVD)

And don’t forget that I’ve started a little challenge of my own – getting in 150 miles by the time I have to go back to school for my first teacher workday on August 15. I’d love for you to join me.

1. What a great week to be off of work!  I’ve spent my week off doing the perfect mix of activities – plenty of hardcore gym sessions, a few new culinary experiments, spending tons of time with friends, and reading.  The only way I could think of to top this week would have been if I’d been laying on a tropical beach somewhere.

3.  Yesterday I spent a fabulous day riding my bike in Half Moon Bay, and I also found this little quote, which just so happens to look strikingly similar to my beach cruiser, Lola.

4.  I finished Gone Girl, and all I can say is if you haven’t read it – READ it!  I can’t say much more because there are lots of twists and turns that keep you shocked all the way to the final page of the novel.  My current read is another one by Gillian Flynn,

5886881 As the title implies, this one is another dark novel, and I am just as engaged by the flawed characters in this one.

5.  Finally, this morning as I was making my coffee, Sofi once again reminded me that sometimes all you need to be content is just a little spot of sun.  I love my pooch so much, and I’m glad she’s here to teach me all of these life lessons.
