Throughout the month of December, I’ll be participating in #reverb13: Reverb is a way to reflect on the past year and project into the next year with a prompt a day for 31 days. December is the perfect time to reflect on 2013 and start to create intentions for 2014.
Day 18: Stylin’
Wear it out | What piece of clothing did you wear again and again all through out the year? Why? Is it all worn out? Are you going to replace it or keep wearing it?
The funny thing about this prompt is that now that I’ve been losing weight so steadily and so quickly, none of my clothes last long enough to really wear out. I have recently purchased sweaters, hoodies, sweats, and jeans to have something that fits, but many of those are getting a bit loose. For Christmas I’m looking forward to getting some gift cards so that I can replenish my wardrobe a bit more.
But to answer the prompt more directly, I’d say I wear my workout clothes again and again, especially these new pants that I’ve been wearing to run:
They’re Max Compression crops from Old Navy. I love them because even though they’re very form fitting, they’re also very flattering. And, better still, they hold me in as I’m running. Now that I’ve lost over 112 pounds, there’s a lot of jiggling going on in my thighs, and these pants make me feel a lot more comfortable. I definitely wear them all the time, and am actually looking forward to buying another pair soon.
I’m really looking forward to hitting my goal weight so that I can start to buy a true wardrobe that will last for years to come!
